Facility

Tan Lab consists of a wet lab for sample preparation and a laser lab for optical observation. Wet Lab carries out molecular, cellular, and physiological experiments. Our instruments include bacteria culture incubator, algae incubator, insect cell culture incubator, autoclave, PCR thermal cycler, various centrifuges, millipore water system, electrophoresis equipment, FPLC system, biosafety operation hood, high-pressure cell crusher, ultrasonic cell lyser, refrigerators at 4℃, -20℃, -80℃, and so on. Laser Lab is designed to conduct single-molecule fluorescence detection, lifetime measurement, and super-resolution imaging. The main instruments include total internal reflection fluorescence microscope (TIRFM), confocal microscope and fluorescence lifetime imaging microscope (FLIM).
